Brief Summary Report on the DEPED-NBDB-BDAP Seminar
Responding to the Challenging-Developing Better
Instructional Materials

The National Book Development Board (NBDB), in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Book Development Association of the Philippines (BDAP), conducted a seminar entitled “Responding to the Challenge-Developing Better Instructional Materials” on December 5 and 6, 2007, at the SEAMEO Innotech, Commonwealth Rd., Diliman, QC. With a registration fee of three thousand five hundred pesos (P3,500.00), the seminar, which was well attended by publishers, authors, editors, illustrators, and other members of the book publishing industry, tackled policies and guidelines the DepEd implements during its textbook evaluation and at the same time new information and updates on developments in the field of textbook production for the public schools in the country.
