The new officers of the Book Development Association of the Philippines were inducted last April 25, 2008 at Albergus Restaurant in Quezon City . |
Along with BDAP president, Lirio P. Sandoval, the other board members inducted were: Karina Bolasco, Mylene Abiva-Sazon, Rolando de Vera, Ramon Rocha III, Jose Ma. Policarpio, Ma. Luisa T. Camagay, Ani Rosa Almario, Antonio Hidalgo, Gwenn Galvez, and Bezalie Uc-Kung. New BDAP members were also inducted.
The induction event was also a meeting, where the new copyright organization, FILCOLS was introduced, as well as the beginnings of a project with Gawad Kalinga. National Book Development Board (NBDB) Chair, Dennis Gonzales, also addressed the BDAP, to talk about tax incentives that publishers should take advantage of.
